“I am forever chasing light. Light turns the ordinary into the magical.”
– Trent Parke

In a very rough definition, light allows the world to be seen. There is a difference between looking at an object and seeing an object. Seeing is a process that involves brain activity, engaging understanding, and translating the view into meaning. Photography, for me, is a study of light, a study of the world, and the act of truly seeing it instead of merely looking at it.

This blog is a messy diary, full of quick notes and jottings, ideas, and fragments, but it is also a record of careful observation of the relationship between the material world and light.
